UltraSPECT, a developer of nuclear medicine image reconstruction technology, has signed a multi-year distribution agreement with nuclear pharmacy network UPPI for the exclusive leasing and/or non-exclusive sale of its cardiac and bone imaging applications in the U.S.
Newer SPECT cameras, through innovative design and software algorithms, have the ability to acquire images of the heart in less time and with better resolution than conventional SPECT cameras. Researchers at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta detailed these advancements in the February issue of the
Journal of Nuclear Medicine.
The FDA has cleared UltraSPECT’s Xpress.PET product, a whole-body PET application, which will be offered for sale immediately in the U.S. market.
