Concord Medical Services and GE Healthcare have signed a memorandum of understating (MOU) to form a preferred strategic partnership in China.
Under the MOU, Concord and GE have agreed to cooperate in academic and marketing programs, and plan to jointly organize seminars and conferences in China to create opportunities for scientific exchanges.
Concord Medical, which operates radiation therapy and diagnostic imaging centers in China, will partner with GE to enter and expand into rural and primary care markets in China, through financial leasing or other business strategies, the companies stated.
The new partnership also includes a preferred supplier relationship in which Concord will be able to purchase GE’s products, including imaging equipment, monitoring devices and after-sales services, solutions for health IT, clinical department solutions, telemedicine, EMR, hospital integration platforms, performance solutions, consumables and others. Additionally, GE will provide Concord with opportunities to provide financing related services for customers in China.
